Build Your Own Future: Business Skills & Support for Mill-Affected Workers

The Build Your Own Future Program, offered by Innovation Central Society – Hubspace, provides free business training, mentorship, and workshops for technicians and tradespeople affected by mill closures and curtailments. This unique program aims to help workers start their own businesses, stay in their communities, and build a successful future.

Participants receive one week of foundational business skills training, covering finances, marketing, sales, operations, project management, and more. The program also offers ongoing coaching, mentorship, and capacity-building workshops for the first eight months, ensuring a smooth transition into entrepreneurship. Additionally, eligible participants can receive up to $5,000 in grant funding to cover start-up costs.
