The First Nations Health Authority‘s (FNHA) Office of Chief Medical Officer is currently working on a crucial report focused on diabetes among First Nations living in BC. This report aims to bring attention to First Nations stories and lived experiences related to diabetes, as understanding these perspectives is vital for creating wholistic and effective diabetes services.
If you are a First Nations person living with diabetes, we invite you to share your unique stories and experiences. By doing so, you’ll be contributing to a better understanding of the needs of First Nations people in BC who live with diabetes and helping to shape the future of diabetes care and support.
To participate in the study or ask any questions, please reach out to Kathy Riyazi at Kathy.Riyazi@fnha.ca or call 778-879-2263 to schedule a phone interview. A gesture of appreciation will be provided to honor your contribution. Interviews will be conducted between February and June 2023.
